Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to start physical therapy?
In most cases, no. New Hampshire allows direct access to physical therapy, so you can schedule an evaluation without a physician referral. Some insurance plans may still require one, so check with your provider if you're unsure.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, and any referral or imaging results from your doctor, if you have them. Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area we'll be treating.
How long is a typical appointment?
Your first evaluation usually runs 45 to 60 minutes. Follow-up appointments usually run 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your treatment plan.
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept most major insurance plans. Contact our office with your insurance information, and we'll confirm your coverage before your first visit.
What if I don't have insurance?
We offer self-pay rates for patients without insurance. Contact us for current rates and payment options.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your condition and goals. Your therapist will give you an estimated plan after your first evaluation, and we'll adjust it as you progress.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that you give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, so we can offer that time to another patient.
Can I schedule an appointment online?
Yes. Use our online scheduling tool to book your appointment, or call our office directly.
