Specialized Treatments

In addition to our core services, Windham Physical Therapy offers specialized treatments to target your condition more precisely. These techniques are backed by advanced training and certification, and we'll recommend them as part of your plan when they fit your goals. As our practice grows, we'll continue to add specialty offerings.

Graston™ Technique

Graston™ Technique uses specialized stainless steel instruments to detect and treat areas of scar tissue and soft tissue restriction. This hands-on method helps break down adhesions, reduce pain, and restore normal movement, often used alongside manual therapy and targeted exercise.

Trigger Point Dry Needling

Dry needling uses thin, sterile needles to release tight, painful knots in your muscles, known as trigger points. This technique can reduce pain, ease muscle tension, and improve range of motion, often providing relief when other methods haven't worked.

Blood Flow Restriction Training

Blood flow restriction training uses a specialized cuff to safely limit blood flow to a limb during light exercise. This lets you build strength with lighter loads, which is especially useful during early recovery from surgery or injury, when heavier lifting isn't yet safe.

Prescriptive Restorative Exercise

Prescriptive restorative exercise is a customized exercise program designed to rebuild strength, flexibility, and control after injury or surgery. Your therapist selects and adjusts each exercise to match your recovery stage, so you build a strong foundation before returning to your normal activities.
